Solutions Engineer

Global-e is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our clients, helping them to implement and optimize our e-commerce solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

  • Work directly with our Sales and Customer Success teams to introduce and present Global-e’s cross-border solution to prospective customers.
  • Serve as the primary technical expert throughout the sales cycle, providing clear guidance to clients on the platform’s capabilities and integration paths.
  • Act as a vital liaison, translating client needs and feedback into actionable insights for our Product and R&D teams.
  • Lead technical discovery and integration discussions, effectively explaining technical features and problem-solving any potential roadblocks for clients.
  • Act as the technical focal point for integrating clients, leveraging your technological expertise to demonstrate and prototype solutions in merchant environments.
  • Provide “best practice” advice and make strategic recommendations on integration to ensure successful and complete implementation of the Global-e platform.
  • Become a product expert by actively participating in internal technical discussions and staying up-to-date with product roadmaps.
  • Engage with clients directly through on-site travel to sales meetings and technical workshops as required.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a solutions engineer or a similar technical sales role within a SaaS environment.
  • Possess strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Professional fluency in both Japanese and English is required.
  • A BA/BS/Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required.
  • A firm understanding of systems integration concepts, API implementation (specifically RESTful services), and relational databases (SQL).
  • Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • The ability to learn and adapt to varying technological environments (including emerging technologies).
  • Previous experience in an e-commerce or logistics environment is a strong advantage.
